What shock this was. I have just returned from Carmel, a Christian holiday resort between George and Knysna ,RSA and found this. Our beloved Kay has gone home to be her Lord. I was first introduced to Precept by Sheila/Ken Coleman ( now both deceased) but what an impact this had on my life. The study of God’s word in this way has been a revelation. The way Kay taught his word it is now my manual for life.I did not have the pleasure of meeting Kay personally but I did greet her when she opened Precept/Ringwood Drive, Pinelands
I met David and Margret Arthur @Jubilee church many years back when David presented a workshop on Precept in Cape Town. Margret you may remember me.The man sitting next to you in his wheelchair. So nice to be part of the family. I intend to be in the States in the very near future and I will be sure to contact you immediately David my compliments to you what a wonderful tribute you paid your yr Mom at her funeral

I remember my 1st precepts class over 25 years ago, ever since then I have never looked at the Bible in the same way. Kay’s passion for God’s word and to see people learn what it says for themselves has been life changing, and it is a privilege for me to be able to play my small part in sharing the Precept method with more people.

As much as we are sad that Kay has passed we rejoice and be comforted that she is with Jesus.

I am so grateful to God for the gift He gave us in the person of Kay. She’s helped transform the way I look at, and study the scriptures.
It’s transformed my preaching, leading and pastoring a church through exegetical preaching. Taking the Word and breaking it open and serve the congregation with it.
Thank you for the wonderful gift and passion Kay had for Jesus and His Word.
I pray for the family and the ministry during this time.
God bless. Juan Pienaar, South Africa

I thank the Lord for Kay’s faithfulness to Gods Word in serving Him through Precept Ministries, teaching and training believers in righteousness precept upon precept.
Precept impacted my life, I was challenged, convicted, and strengthened as I dug more deeply into the Word of God..
Kay lived out her passion for the things of God as a relevant living letter for our times.
She was open and frank, correcting and encouraging us. We laughed and cried with her.
Through Covenant I learned to know and love my Faithful Covenant partner God more deeply; and I learned to honour my personal covenant relationships by reflecting Him.
Thank you Lord for Kay, for her love and walk of faith for her Lord Jesus Christ and His church.

Kay you have run an amazing race and a piece of you will remain with each one of us who has encountered you through Precepts. You have always used your gift to empower people in the word of God, you could talk straight and to the core, you did not bend the word of God to suit people but you bent people to follow the word of God to the T. I thank God for your life, well done good and faithful servant. Till we meet again.

In loving memory: a special video

“the people who know their God will display strength and take action.”

Daniel 11:32b

Kay’s vision lives on through Precept Africa. If you would like to honour her legacy, consider supporting the ongoing work of making Bible study accessible across Africa.
