We just have to share this truly incredible testimony with you from Nakaweesi, a Precept student in Bukasa, Uganda, whose marriage was restored after doing a Precept study.
“I am married to a Muslim man, whom I married before I became born again. Later, my husband took a second wife, as is permitted in his faith.
I became born again because the polygamous situation deeply affected my marriage. I used to quarrel and insult my husband because of the other woman. I faced criticism from fellow believers who told me that light doesn’t mix with darkness. I was very confused and discouraged by my circumstances.
During my journey of salvation, I joined Precept studies, particularly the “Marriage Without Regrets” study, which helped transform my marriage. I learned how to pray and be submissive to my husband. Practising the Word of God has truly helped my marriage.
Now, I counsel other couples who are struggling in their marriages. So far, five couples have come to me for help because of my testimony, and because I now have God’s Word to guide them. I learned how to cross-reference scriptures and, because of the knowledge from Precept Ministry, I am now stronger in the Word than those who have been born again for many years.
I didn’t know how to read or open the Bible before, because of my Islamic background. But now I know how to open it, read it, and apply it to my life – and to help others do the same.
I thank God that my marriage is now settled.”
